Methodology

This page describes exactly how goldetect.com produces the data and analysis displayed across the site. Every step is reproducible and every claim traces to a named source.

Section 01

Live Price Pipeline

Spot gold (XAU/USD) is sourced from Swissquote's ECN feed, which aggregates LBMA-tier institutional dealer quotes. Between the LBMA AM and PM fixes, the rate updates every minute during market hours.

FX crosses (USD/xxx pairs) are sourced from the same Swissquote interbank feed. Local currency gold prices are computed as XAU/USD × USD/xxx with no intermediate rounding until display.

The gram price is (XAU/USD × USD/xxx) / 31.1035.

Section 02

Central Bank Rates

FED, ECB, and TCMB benchmark rates are ingested directly from each central bank's official publication URL and cached for one hour. Historical releases are kept for audit purposes.

Section 03

News Classification

We monitor 40+ RSS feeds from financial newswires, central banks, commodity exchanges, and reputable industry publications. Every incoming headline is first screened for gold/forex/macro relevance (Gemini 2.5 Flash, EVET/HAYIR gate) and then scored for importance on a 1–5 scale.

Only items scoring ≥ 3 surface on pillar and country pages. Items scoring 5 trigger Web Push and Telegram alerts.

Section 04

Page Generation

Programmatic pages are generated from typed static registries (currencies, countries, topics) and filled with LLM-composed contextual bodies. Each body is cached in Supabase keyed by (slug, cluster, locale) and a fingerprint of its input data. Cache is busted automatically when the fingerprint changes.

Pages are pre-rendered at build time and updated incrementally via Next.js ISR (3600s revalidation) and on-demand revalidation when critical data changes. The dateModified timestamp in JSON-LD reflects the actual regeneration time, not page view time.

Section 05

Content Quality Standards

Every programmatic page is composed from a typed registry of source data (currencies, countries, topics) combined with template prose that varies by slug. Pages that do not meet the minimum content threshold — a unique Quick Answer, at least three distinct body paragraphs, and a sourced FAQ — are either canonical-linked to their parent hub or excluded from the sitemap. Only pages that carry independent informational value are indexed.

Section 06

Not Investment Advice

Goldetect publishes market data for informational purposes only. Nothing on goldetect.com constitutes investment, tax, or legal advice.
