Goldetect ("Platform") is operated by PENFAI LLC ("Company", "we"). This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the data collected, processed, and stored while using the Platform.

2. Data Collected

Goldetect puts user privacy first:

  • All application settings and news data are stored only in your browser (localStorage).
  • No personal user data is stored on the server side.
  • There is no user account or registration system.
  • When Web Push notifications are enabled, your browser's push subscription is held temporarily in server memory and is cleared when the server restarts.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

The Platform does not use cookies. Theme preference, language selection, and application data are stored via your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device and is not shared with third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the following third-party services:

  • AI Analysis: Used to analyze news headlines. Your personal data is not sent to this service.
  • RSS Sources: Data is collected from publicly available news feeds.
  • Swissquote: Used for market price data.

5. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally in your browser, data security largely depends on the security of your device. All server communication occurs over HTTPS.
